Mission summary:
"Tonight's target is again the beaches between Messina and Capo Peloro and the following eleven pilots are the captains for tonight's operation:
All crews identified and bombed the target area from heights of 4000/7000ft. Sticks were seen to fall on the coastal road and beaches from Paradine to Saint Agatha and bursts were observed. A large fire was started in the vivinity of Porticello and another beleived to be at Saint Agatha where buildings were seen to be well alight. A large fire was seen by all crews just north of Messina with a second smaller fire south of Paradine. Opposition was negligible with only 3-4 searchlights in the region of Messina and on the mainland towards Messina Straits. Visibility was good. All aircraft returned safely.
