Mission summary:
"The marshalling yards at Lamerzia is tonight's target and nine of our aircraft are detailed to make the attack. The captains being:
Special duties:
A successful attack was made. All crews identifying the target and bombing from heights of 1400/7000ft. reports indicate that the whole area of the yards was well covered by inciendiaries. sticks were laid across these and many busrts observed. Opposition was nil.

Two aircraft were detailed to drop nickels and successfully dropped 1,000,000 special nickels over Rome. The pilots were F/Sgt Sullivan and Sgt Bashford. Opposition was 4-5 searchights and slight ineffective light flak from scattered guns.
