On completion of their training, F/O Langlois and his crew were sent to RAF Portreath and on the 28th March they shipped out to their new base at Blida, Algeria, in North Africa.

Although the war in Africa with Germany and Italy was over, the occupation of Italy and Greece and the protection of England's interests in the Mediterranean deemed it necessary to maintain the control of the air space in the Middle East.

At the beginning of May the Squadron moved to Fontaine Chaude and became part of 330 Wing. Then on May 26 the Squadron moved again. This time to  Kairouan West in Tunisia. He remained with 150 Squadron until the completion of his tour in September 1943.
